Theatrical Adaptations

Theatrical Adaptations: Co-creation of Knowledge on Climate Change through Storytelling, directed and facilitated by Lara Aysal in 2021.

The aim of the project is to open a pathway for a meaningful exchange of stories between Western and Indigenous knowledge systems for climate justice conversations.

During the project an intergenerational team of participants, who are interested in storytelling and are struggling with issues around climate crisis, have been invited to participate in a series of workshops. We invited Western and Indigenous knowledge holders to guide a series of workshops where participants had a chance to engage with and reflect on what they learned from knowledge holders through storytelling.

In collaboration with the International Centre of Art for Social Change (ICASC) and Judith Marcuse Projects (JMP) in Association with Greenpeace Canada and guidance of David Diamond.
